Here is a fine old Football from around the 1930/40's as far as we can tell . It is a well-known Spalding J5-V , with the telltale Spalding stitchwork around the still tight lacing . The bladder is original and the ball holds air constantly . Under the lacing is the telltale Spalding Logo that describes the ball as being an Official InterCollegiate Football . Below that and to the right are stamped the words ' Lock Stitched ' , which could date the manufacturing time more accurately . All leather panels are in very good condition for the age of this ball , and both panels above and below the center lacing are inscribed with faint , professionally done names of either the Colleges involved in play that day ~ or the winning team and it's Coach or best Player ? It could well have been an important game that week ... a final perhaps ? On average these balls in this great condition command a high price on various Football memorabilia Auction sites , as they are not easy to locate . This particular Football is selling for $ 125.00 , plus shipping from Victoria , British Columbia . Please call Mike at 1-250-382-8185 if interested ~ or e-mail here .
